  Wet and Wonderful Fun Is at White Hall
 Feel the thrill of speeding through one of the several flume tubes or kick back and relax on the Lazy River in your tube. Big and tall or short and small, there truly is something for everyone at Cren- shaw Springs Water Park. Bring the kids out for a day of fam- ily fun from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
HOW CRENSHAW SPRINGS GOT ITS NAME “Crenshaw” was given to the natural spring-fed creek in what is now White Hall, as it was believed the land through which the creek flowed had once been owned by a family named Crenshaw. In the 1800’s, people traveling by horse and wagon from Little Rock to Pine Bluff would stop at Crenshaw springs to enjoy the clear water. Whether swimming, washing clothes,
or watering their horses, trav- elers often returned to the area because they knew “good water” flowed there.
Attracted to the clean water, travelers began settling near the creek. Soon, they built a one-room clapboard structure for church services and group meetings at the top of the hill next to the spring. As the area’s most prominent land-
